Walking Trails

We have ag-lime walking trails in the park which are easy on the knees and hips. If you walk the original trails, the distance is 1 3/4 miles of trails with the addition around the Titan's Football area bringing the distance to about 2.5 miles. However, you can add more distance by walking the parking lots, backtracking around the soccer fields, walking through the trees, and around the ball fields.... the combinations are endless!

There are plenty of benches to take a rest and catch your breath or just stop and enjoy nature for a minute.  Of course leisurely strolls, power walking, and of course jogging or running are all allowed on our trails.  Your dogs are welcome to join you on your stroll through the park but they will need to be on a leash.  To help keep the trails clean there are several "Mutt Mitt" stations a long the trails for your convenience.

Bikers are allowed to join us on the trails too but are asked to please watch for the walkers.

For the beginner, the oval around the lighted soccer fields is a great way to start.  There is some nice cool shade, several benches to take a rest, and a restroom is available.  It's a fairly level walking surface.

For the more advanced walker, the hilly terrain between the Park Office and the petting zoo offers a more challenging course.  Lots of shade and benches along the way to sit and catch your breath.

For the advanced fitness walker, the course can be a challenge with a timed course. How fast can you go?  The answer is as fast as your feet will take you.

See you on the walking trail!
